“Summer, summer, summer!”, in my best High School Musical voice. It’s the time of the year when us girls love our makeup to be minimal, glow without being oily and be bronzed up! All of my June favorites do just that and I can’t wait to share them with you!
My go to summer foundation is Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. I rock the shade 420 which is ideal for deep skin with neutral undertones. Fenty Beauty has 40 foundation shades, so no one is left out. This foundation lived up to its expectations as it is very matte which is great for us with oily skin in this hot weather. It is also medium to full coverage and is very light weight on the skin. Living in the Caribbean makes shopping for makeup very hard since there isn’t any local Sephora so ordering this foundation was definitely a risk. I recommend looking at YouTube videos and comparing your current foundation shades with others. I am currently a NC50 in Mac’s Studio Fix Fluid Foundation and 355 Coconut in Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte Poreless Foundation. The Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation also retails for a great price of $34 USD.
Blush has become one of my makeup staples and Telling Glow by Mac has to be my go to blush this summer. Telling Glow is described as a bright coral, extra dimension blush. It combines the smoothness of a cream, blendability of a liquid and finish of a powder. It looks phenomenal on all skin tones and is great for everyday Summer makeup looks.
For months, I mean years, I have been looking for a bronzer that was just right for my skin tone. Bobbi Brown’s Bronzer in the shade Deep makes me look sun kissed! It’s a light weight powder which has a soft matte finish. Sadly, Deep 4 was the last shade so my dark chocolate girls are left behind. Bobbi Brown should definitely extend the shade range!
The goal is to glow all Summer long and Beeqbox F*ckboy Repellent Illuminating Setting Spray in Legendary makes me do just that. Legendary is a warm toned gold which gives you more shimmer and glow and less sparkle. This illuminating setting spray comes in six more shades and can also be used on your body which is what I use it for especially when I go to the beach. This product is very affordable compared to many other illuminizers on the market. It retails for just $12 USD!
