Island Girl Chronicles: Wine Down Wednesday!

I’m slowly becoming a wine lover and that’s because the locals spoil me. Every other Wednesday Corks and Screws, an exclusive wine boutique which is located in Frigate Bay (opposite the taxi stand), St.Kitts hosts a wine tasting, Wine Down Wednesday. For $15 usd you get to try various wines and also learn how they’re made and what makes each of them unique. Your entry fee also will go towards your purchase of any wine, so of course your girl grabbed a bottle!

My friends and I arrived at 6:30 pm and it was already a full house. I will suggest coming a bit earlier to secure a good seat as there are only a few. Corks and Screws provides a great selection of Old and New World wines. We tasted 5 different organic wines while we were there and learned about there benefits towards our health. These included Montalbano Pinot Grigio, Musso Tempranillo, Valpolicela and more. Cheese platters were also served which myself and my friend B’jon really enjoyed, so yummy!

If you’re looking for new things to do with your friends or even a date idea, I will suggest coming to one of Corks and Screws’ wine tastings. It was a perfect way to catch up, meet new people and get wine tipsy! Corks and Screws is also in a great location! It’s close to other bars, restaurants and lounges so your night does not have to end there.

Will I see you at the next wine tasting?

XOXO,
